Saving money when dealing with home water problems

Whether you're a new homeowner or you've been in your home for years, you may not know some key things about your house that could save you time, money and even save your life.

Tim Thompson, known as Tipman Tim, shows us some valuable tips at midtown Atlanta's historic mansion, Rhodes Hall. Monday's topic is about how to save money on plumbing issues!

Rhodes Hall is the headquarters of the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. On May 4 they're hosting a Home Owners Workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It's for homeowners and homebuyers who are interested in either purchasing an older home, or hiring a professional to make repairs, or do-it-yourselfers wanting to make repairs or improvements themselves.

The grounds of Rhodes Hall will be filled with vendor displays offering information on all aspects of homeownership. Inside, seminars, lectures and demonstrations will be offered simultaneously on the half-hour, allowing attendees to participate in numerous sessions.
