Alert issued for missing Winter Haven man

WINTER HAVEN (FOX 13) -

Authorities in Polk County have issued an alert for a missing Winter Haven man who has not been seen in nearly a week.

Edgar Todd's sister filed a missing person's report on Saturday.

According to a Polk County Sheriff's Office report the 66-year-old man resides at 210 ½ Second St. in the Eloise community of Winter Haven.

His roommate told investigators that he last saw Todd at approximately 10 a.m. on February 11th. The missing man allegedly told his roommate that he was going to Winter Haven Hospital.

He never arrived.

Todd is described as being a white male who stands 5'10'' tall and weighs 210 pounds. He has blue eyes, brownish/gray hair and a full gray beard.

He has not been diagnosed with any serious medical conditions and is not on medication. A family member however, did tell deputies that Todd has exhibited signs of dementia.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, brown boots, and an unknown type of shirt.
