Polk deputies make arrest in gas station robberies

Deputies in Polk County have arrested a man they believe is responsible for two different convenience store robberies.

The first happened early Saturday morning at the Circle K on County Line Road in Lakeland. The second happened around 10 that same night at the BP Gas Station on Pipkin Road in Lakeland.

Deputies have taken 32-year-old William Mounts. He already had a warrant for his arrest for a bank robbery in Plant City, and U.S. Marshals wanted him for violation of probation.
