Deputies looking for missing dog

SARASOTA (FOX 13) -

A search is underway for a missing Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office cattle dog.

‘Doc' is employed by the Department's Agriculture Unit and assists deputies in rounding up loose livestock. At approximately 11:30 a.m. Saturday the mixed-breed canine escaped from his specially constructed travel trailer.

He was last seen in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 near the Fruitville Rd. exit in Sarasota County.

‘Doc' belongs to HCSO Agriculture Unit Detective Lowell Cain. He and several other deputies have been looking for the dog since he went missing.

He is considered the Agriculture Unit's mascot and a $500 reward is being offered for his safe return. ‘Doc' is very friendly, is brown and white in color and weighs approximately 60 pounds.
