The coldest weather of the season is expected to be here Sunday night, with highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s.
It's part of a cold blast expected to move in for the weekend, and temperatures will steadily begin dropping Friday and Saturday. We're also expecting plenty of wind – which will add to the chill.
"When that front comes through, the wind will really start whipping," FOX 13 Meteorologist Dave Osterberg said. "Some of those winds could even be gale force offshore."
Freeze watches and advisories will likely be issued sometime Friday, so folks will want to keep an eye on what to do with their pets and plants.
Meteorologist Paul Dellegatto said he wouldn't be surprised to see snow flurries as south as the Florida panhandle.
For you sunshine lovers, temperatures will hike back up again Monday, and next week we could even see highs back in the 70s.
