Kelly: Change Of Scenery, No Change Of Address For Vick

PHILADELPHIA -

After several meetings over the last few weeks, the Eagles announced on Monday that quarterback Michael Vick and team officials have agreed on a restructured contract.

Vick will now compete for the starting role in the 2013 season, the team announced on its official website.

"For Michael Vick, there's a change of scenery but not a change of address," head coach Chip Kelly said during a 1:30 p.m. press conference

Vick joined the Eagles in 2009 and played one season as the team's third quarterback. After becoming the starting quarterback in 2010, Vick has started in 35 games for the team over the last three seasons.

"I know moving forward, we as an organization needed to make a decision regarding Michael and I want Michael to be a part of this organization," Kelly said.

Nick Foles, the team's second-year quarterback, also came up in Monday's press conference. Kelly says he's excited to know he has an older quarterback in Vick and a younger quarterback in Foles for the season ahead.
