We now know it will be the Pinellas County State Attorney's Office that will investigate the DUI arrest of attorney Phil Campbell, who represented Todd "MJ" Schnitt in the high-profile shock jock trial.
Campbell was busted for drinking and driving in the middle of the defamation trial against radio rival Bubba the Love Sponge Clem.
FOX 13 first told you Hillsborough County State Attorney Mark Ober passed the case over to the governor after citing a conflict of interest in the case. Gov. Rick Scott has handed the case over to Pinellas State Attorney Bernie McCabe's office.
Because of the incident, MJ's team has filed a motion for a new trial. A jury cleared Bubba of any wrongdoing.
Stay with FOX 13 for more on this case.
