Police say a 54-year-old man was found dead inside a motel room in Queens Saturday night.
Officers arrived to the Crown Motor Inn on 74-01 Queens Boulevard in Elmhurst around 11:40 p.m., where they found Joseph Benzinger of Middle Village unconscious and unresponsive on the floor.
EMS arrived to the location and pronounced Benzinger dead upon arrival.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

West Side resident Matt Murphy has stored a pail of leftovers on his floor for the last two months. His building is part of the city's food-recycling pilot program. Mayor Bloomberg wants to expand the program citywide.
