Upper Bucks Co. Readies for Nor'Easter

Posted: Updated:

Upper Bucks County residents braced for a Friday night/Saturday morning Nor'easter punch by loading up on winter supplies and plenty of food.

"If you get it now before the snow starts then you don't have to go out when the roads are in bad shape," said Jim Traugher of East Rockhill Township.

We found him picking up some milk and eggs at Landis Supermarket just outside of Perkasie.

Terry Winder went to the Home Depot in Souderton for some calcium chloride to help melt any ice build-ups.

"(I'm) as ready as you can be," he said.

"Got the snow blower in the garage all gassed up; make sure it starts and everything.  Got the shovel there.  Ready to go!"

Upper Bucks County residents are looking at between three and six inches of snow by daybreak Saturday.

It was a gloomy Sunday as the whole area remain socked in with low clouds & fog, drizzle and scattered showers.

The weather remains unsettled through most of the work week. The difference is that it will really warm up -- temperatures soar into the 80s by Tuesday.  That mild and humid air mass will fuel afternoon thunderstorms.

By Thursday a cold front moves by bringing more rain.  It will also bring drier and cooler weather by Friday as we finally clear out.
