PHILADELPHIA -
Philadelphia police say they are searching for the man captured on surveillance video jumping behind the counter of a West Lehigh Avenue pharmacy and taking a knife to an employee's neck.
The robbery happened Monday just before 9 a.m. at the Rite Aid pharmacy on the 200 block of West Lehigh Avenue.
Police say a man walked into the pharmacy, pulled a knife and demanded money from the employees behind the counter.
When one of the employees went to get help, police say the suspect jumped over the counter, grabbed the second employee from behind, took a knife to their neck and forced them to open the cash register drawer.
After taking an undisclosed amount of money, police say the man ran out of the store. He was last seen running toward 3rd Street.
Police describe the suspect as a black man standing 5'3" tall and weighing 170 pounds. The man was last seen wearing a black ski mask that covered the lower part of his face, a red jacket with white letters, a black and red cap and black and white jogging pants.
If you have any information, you're asked to call police at 215-686-TIPS (8477) or by text, 773847.
