CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J. -
Charges were filed Wednesday in connection to a deadly car crash that killed a mother and her daughter last month in Merchantville.
According to Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk, 31-year-old Keith Johnson was charged in connection to the accident. Johnson, according to investigators, faces two counts of Death by Auto and one count of Aggravated Assault.
Investigators say the car Johnson was driving was going 25 miles-per-hour over the speed limit when it collided head-on with the car Anada Medina and her daughter, Stephanie Garcia, were in on January 31.
Police say Medina and Garcia were killed in the crash. A passenger who was in Johnson's car is still in the hospital, police said.
Johnson is still being treated for his injuries at Cooper Hospital, but is expected to be taken to the Camden County Jail when he is released.
