SULFUR SPRINGS (FOX 13) -

Tampa police are on the hunt for an arsonist who set a house on fire in Sulphur Springs.

Investigators say it was intentionally set in the 1600 block of Bird Street, and the man who lives next door to the vacant home says he saw a man light the fire then take off on a bike.

"He set the fire in the doorway. It started going up to the roofs and the treetops," said Gerald Gibson.

Gibson said he's seen the guy picking up cans in the neighborhood before. He said the man was wearing shorts and a trench coat.

There is a reward for information leading to an arrest.

Firefighters in Valrico also had to put out a fire on Highgate Drive. No one was injured in that. And there was another blaze to battle on Cortez Street in North Tampa in the Egypt Lake area.

A firefighter was also injured battling a mobile home fire in Riverview on Darla Drive.
