Clearwater firefighters helped to save some ducklings in distress Monday afternoon.
Someone called the fire department around 12:30 p.m. and said they saw a duck standing over a drain near 1401 Court Street.
The duck was making noises of distress, the person told firefighters. Firefighters lifted up the drain and found six ducklings trapped below, and they rescued them to safety.
