NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

"Brides Against Cancer held a charity wedding gown sale in Manhattan Sunday.

The sale was part of the non-profit organization's ongoing "Nationwide Tour of Gowns" fundraiser.

The wedding gown sale, which took place at the Manhattan Penthouse on Fifth Avenue in Union Square, gives many brides-to-be a chance to buy their dream dresses at a reduced cost.

The proceeds help fund programs and services to cancer patients and their families.

"Wedding gown sales are an important fundraising program for Brides Against Breast Cancer. Our organization makes it possible for future brides around the country to purchase wedding gowns at dramatic savings, and give back," said Amy Paulishak, VP Business Development, Brides Against Breast Cancer. "Most gown prices range from $75 to $799, including beautiful new name brand and designer gowns valued up to $3,000. We also offer layaway."

"Tour of Gowns" in 2013 will travel to over 100 cities nationwide.
