PHILADELPHIA -

Police in Philadelphia are looking for the man who they say pried open the doors to a Crittenden Street supermarket, walked inside and took a cash register.

Police say it happened at the Pathmark on the 7700 block of Crittenden Street Wednesday morning around 1:30 a.m.

Once inside, a surveillance camera captured the man walk behind the customer service center, where he was approached by an employee. Police say the employee attempted to grab the tool the man used to get through the supermarket.

The man took the cash register, which had an undetermined amount of cash inside, and then left in a dark colored four-door vehicle with a broken passenger rear window, police said.

The suspect is described as a black man, 30-40 years old with a heavy build and a scruffy beard. Police say he was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants and a long white t-shirt.

It was a gloomy Sunday as the whole area remain socked in with low clouds & fog, drizzle and scattered showers.

The weather remains unsettled through most of the work week. The difference is that it will really warm up -- temperatures soar into the 80s by Tuesday.  That mild and humid air mass will fuel afternoon thunderstorms.

By Thursday a cold front moves by bringing more rain.  It will also bring drier and cooler weather by Friday as we finally clear out.
