Tampa Police are on the lookout for a bank robbery suspect who may be seeing red.
Thursday afternoon an unidentified black male made off with some cash from the Pilot Bank at 17635 N. Bruce B. Downs Blvd. Slipped into his haul was a red dye pack.
Detectives have asked Bay area businesses to be wary of customers who may be trying pass tainted cash.
According to a Tampa Police Department report the suspect is approximately 5'3'' to 5'4'' tall with a thin build. He is in his late teens or early 20s.
He was last seen wearing a black ski mask with mesh on the bottom near the mouth, sock-type top, black gloves, long black pants and a long-sleeved black hooded shirt.
Investigators are not sure what vehicle he drove away from the scene in.
The report states the suspect entered the bank and demanded money at gunpoint. A teller complied by stuck the dye pack in with the bills.
