Atlanta officer shot during pursuit out of hospital

ATLANTA -

An officer injured in the line of duty is out the hospital.

Officer Reggie Robinson was shot in the while pursuing a suspect January 11 near the West End Mall.

Police say the rookie officer was release from Grady Memorial Hospital Thursday is home recovering with his family.

A benefit was held for Robinson and injured Officer Ozzie Beckles at Fox Brothers Barbeque on Wednesday. About $2,000 was raised for Humble Heroes which supports injured officers.
