Marietta police say a Florida man has been charged with vehicular homicide after an accident involving his tractor trailer.
Police say the crash happened around 7:15 Friday morning on Cobb Parkway near Industrial Park Drive. Authorities say James Rast, of Jay, Fla., tried turning left and drove into the path of a van being driven by 49-year-old Mahmoud Dabdoub, of Marietta.
Authorities say Dabdoub was killed when his van hit the side of Rast's trailer.
In a release, Marietta Police Spokesman Michael Gardner said Rast is also charged with failure to yield while turning left and is being held in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on $250,000 bond.
It is unclear if Rast has an attorney.
