Two blocs or list of candidates running for Parliament in Israel finished in a deadlock. Political experts say Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will likely scramble to create a coalition with his rivals to form the next government.

GDNY spoke with Ido Aharoni, Consul General of Israel in New York, about the election and future of Israel.

"It is true that the 2013 general elections in Israel were about domestic issues, but it doesn't mean the Israeli voter doesn't have in the background the main issues we face: the threat posed by Iran from the east, the unfolding events around us, the regional turmoil mistakenly referred to as the Arab Spring and the ever present threat post terrorist groups of Hamas from the south and  Hezbollah to the north," said Aharoni.
