Bus driver accused of touching, kissing teen

SARASOTA (FOX 13) -

A Sarasota County school bus driver is off the bus and behind a desk after being accused of touching and kissing a 16-year-old girl.

It happened during a bus trip, deputies say, and now Javier Aramayo-Angeles is charged with battery.

The girl says she was the last person on the bus when the driver inappropriately touched and kissed her face, deputies said. She told her father, who contacted the sheriff's office.

"Any student or anybody that feels like they're in an uncomfortable position, especially in this type of situation, they should contact a trusted adult, whether it's at the school district, sheriff's office, parent," said Lt. Tim Enos. "We take these type of complaints seriously and so does the school district."

Aramayo-Angeles is out of jail. He's been reassigned to a different position during the investigation, where he won't have any contact with kids.
