Georgia State rallies to beat William & Mary 74-58
ATLANTA (AP) - Manny Atkins scored 21 points and Rasheed Richardson scored all 12 of his in the second half as Georgia State rallied for a 74-58 victory over William & Mary on Wednesday night in Colonial Athletic Association play.
The Panthers (7-11, 2-3), who had lost 7 of their past eight games, trailed 33-25 before getting a 3-pointer from Kevin Shaw just before the halftime buzzer.
Two baskets by Atkins and a 3-pointer by Richardson lifted Georgia State into a 35-35 tie early in the second half. The Panthers took the lead for good, 48-43, with an 8-0 run that included two baskets by Richardson.
Tim Rusthoven had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Tribe (7-9, 1-4), who have lost six straight.
Georgia State's Ron Hunter coached barefoot, the sixth straight season he's done so in a game in support of Samaritan's Feet, an organization that provides shoes for underprivileged children.
