The Tampa Bay Rays a date with Hillsborough County.
Members of the Rays' management will be with county
commissioners on Jan. 24 during the regular commission meeting.
They hope to find out if the Rays' long-term goals include Hillsborough
County.
The team has a contract to play in the Trop through the 2027
season – but say they hope to replace it before then.
That contract also bans the team from even talking about a
new stadium until then.
Hillsborough County commissioners say they will check with
their lawyers first to find out what can and can't be discussed.
