The Hillsborough County courthouse is getting ready for what will be a colorful trial over the next few weeks.
Two of the area's biggest radio personalities are facing off. Todd "MJ" Schnitt is suing "Bubba The Love Sponge" in a lawsuit filed in 2008.
Schnitt claims Bubba defamed him on the air by making false statements about Schnitt and his wife, encouraging listeners to "harass him." Bubba claims he did nothing wrong because MJ and his wife are public figures.
Schnitt says his wife is not a public figure.
Jury selection began Monday morning. The trial could last up to three weeks, exposing the "radio wars" that went on between the rival DJs for years.
The witness list includes a wide range of local figures, including Hulk Hogan.
