A 21-year-old Largo man is behind bars following his arrest Saturday morning on sexual battery charges.
Raheem Willis Bell is being held without bond at the Pinellas County Jail. He is facing a violation of probation charge stemming from a previous child abuse conviction.
According to a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office report the alleged victim in the case is a 17-year-old female known to the suspect. Investigators say the incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. Friday behind the Target store at 4450 Park St. North in Seminole.
Bell's arrest report states he instructed the victim to remove her clothing but when she refused the suspect allegedly assaulted her. The teen was able to make contact with two adults who called PCSO.
The suspect left the victim alone and partially nude at the crime scene. Members of PCSO's Violent Crimes Task Force located and took Bell into custody early Saturday.
Detectives working the case are asking for the public's assistance because they believe vehicle traffic was pretty steady in the area at the time of the alleged assault.
