BRANDON (FOX 13) -
A small plane crashed into a field in the Brandon area, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
It happened near Dew Bloom Road and S. Mt. Carmel Road.
The pilot was not seriously injured.
An online flightplan indicates the Cessna Skylane was flying from Peter O. Knight Airport to Opa-locka Executive Airport in Miami. The plane is registered to a corporation out of Delaware.
Authorities are asking people to avoid the area of the crash.
