Flying the skies at Tampa International Airport just got a lot easier for a select few.
A pilot program is being used only at the pre-check lane, "Air-side E." That's where Delta, Sun Country and Air Canada airlines are located.
Pre-check requires passengers to volunteer detailed personal information. In exchange, the passengers can go through the expedited screening.
This new program allows passengers not registered with pre-check to use the same faster procedures.
TSA screeners have been trained to observe and interact with passengers standing in security lines.
Passengers who have been deemed to be low-risk will be pulled and placed in the pre-check lane, which means shorter lines and a much faster security process.
