Job opening: Meteorologist

METEOROLOGIST (Full Time Regular): Provide weather forecasts for air and web as assigned. Report live in studio and on location. Conduct interviews and interact with the public. A minimum of five years' experience working as a weather anchor in a medium or large market. Must be able to work effectively on various media platforms. Must be able to produce news and feature packages and report live. Must have good news judgment and knowledge of fair and accurate journalism practices. Must possess strong on air abilities, be creative and ad-lib effectively. Excellent people and communication skills; must be a team player. Expert knowledge of weather and newsroom computers. AMS Seal required or at the least be eligible for testing. Weather Central/Barons background helpful. Hurricane forecasting experience a plus.
