Sarasota Police seek CVS robbery suspect

SARASOTA (FOX 13) -

Investigators with the Sarasota Police Department are asking for the public's assistance in identifying and tracking down a robbery suspect.

An unidentified white male made off with an undisclosed amount of money from the CVS Pharmacy at 3709 North Tamiami Trail just before 6 p.m. Sunday.

According to a SPD report the suspect implied he had a firearm but one was not seen. He fled with the cash and the cash register door.

The man is in his 40s, stands 6'1'' tall and has a medium/muscular build. He has a shaved head and was last seen wearing a black colored t-shirt, black shorts and white tennis shoes.

The suspect drove away from the scene in a white pick-up truck. The bed of the vehicle has been removed and replaced with a flatbed.
