Morgan Martin walked out of her house in her pajamas and slippers, and never came home again.
The pregnant 17 year old has been missing since July 25th.
Instead of celebrating a new life, her family is still looking for answers, desperate to find out what happened to Morgan.
Her mother Leah spends a lot of time on the phone, checking with detectives for updates, working to start a bank account to collect reward money.
The family hopes for any information on her Morgan's whereabouts.
Today was supposed to be a special day for this family -- it was Morgan's due date.
She was 17 when she disappeared from her family's house in St. Petersburg back on July 25th.
"She was going out to tell her baby's father that she was having a girl. And that was at 10:30 at night. That was the last time I seen her," Leah said,
No one ever saw exactly who Morgan met up with, but they never saw her again..
Today, when Leah was supposed to be holding her first grandchild, she is instead holding on to hope that her youngest daughter is still alive.
"I try not to think about it too much. But we're just trying to get through today. Everybody is," she says.
Anne Orr was like a 2nd mom to Morgan. Thursday night as she thought of Morgan's due date, she cried, wondering what to say to Morgan's mom.
"What do you say to a mother, who, her daughter is gone and her grandchild is gone. It's not just one life missing, it's two," Orr said.
They had a lot of plans for the Christmas holiday. But now, with a new year, the family plans to resume searches, and continue asking questions.
"We said Christmas would have been a lot different. We would have had a whole baby room filled now. We would have been ready to go. It's different. It's a lot to think about. It's a lot to deal with," Leah said.
All they need is one solid lead, and they believe it's coming
St. Petersburg Police will only say it's still a very active case. They are working leads, but they do believe Morgan suffered some degree of foul play.
