TAMPA (FOX 13) -
An accident near the Davis Islands Bridge in Tampa was turning a lot of heads and generating plenty of tweets Friday morning.
The driver of a pickup truck swerved off Bayshore Boulevard and drove directly up a set of stairs to get onto the bridge. Immediately, the picture spread on social media.
Officials were on-scene trying to figure out how exactly the driver lost control of the vehicle, but it's likely the mixture of rain and fog contributed to the crash.
One viewer sent us video from the scene. Police are still in the area trying to get the truck down from the steps. Expect slower traffic in the area on Bayshore.
The driver is expected to be OK.
