A Bay area couple's best moment of 2013 likely came just 13 seconds into the New Year.

Officials at Mease Countryside Hospital say Monica Johnson and Steven Konitzer welcomed a baby boy 13 seconds after the stroke of midnight – one of the country's first newborns of 2013.

By all accounts, the child is doing well, weighing in at 8 pounds. The couple named him Baylin Henry Konitzer.

We'll be speaking to the couple today to hear how they're doing.
