Screen, a 41-year-old Lakeland resident, is expected to survive investigators say.LAKELAND (FOX 13) -
Detectives with the Lakeland Police Department are asking for the public's assistance in tracking down an attempted murder suspect.
Walter Screen was stabbed Friday afternoon by an unknown assailant near the intersection of 5th St. and North Lincoln Ave. He was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.
According to a LPD report officers were dispatched to the scene just after 4 p.m. in response to a person down call. By the time they arrived Screen had been taken from the scene by a personal vehicle.
Investigators combed the area looking for evidence and witnesses. No suspect description is available at this time. Screen is expected to survive.
