TAMPA (FOX 13) -

The body of a 77-year-old Tampa man who went missing Thursday night was pulled from the Hillsborough River Sunday morning.

Richard Law was a day away from going on a cruise with his wife of 44 years when he was last seen.

According to a Tampa Police Department report the dive team discovered Law's remains just after 11 a.m. The Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy to determine an official cause of death.

Using sonar the body was recovered from the river in an area between the Columbus and Boulevard bridges.

Family members told investigators that Law displayed no signs of dementia and had never wandered off before. There were no signs of foul play.

Law's home is located in the 2200 block of Ridgewood Ave., one block away from the Hillsborough River. He walked away from the residence without his wallet, car and other personal items.

The investigation continues.
