BRADENTON (FOX 13) -

A 20-year-old Palmetto man was injured early Sunday morning in a one-vehicle crash on Linger Lodge Rd. in Manatee County.

Jackson Plum was transported to Blake Medical Center where he is listed in serious condition.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report Plum was traveling east in his 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe approaching the intersection of 85th St. Court East just after 4 a.m. when he ran through a stop sign.

The vehicle crossed the north and southbound lanes of 85th St. Court East and veered onto the east shoulder of the roadway. The front end of the Tahoe struck a fence post and kept going.

It struck a tree and rotated clockwise before come to a complete stop facing west.

Plum was issued a citation for failing to stop for a stop sign. He is a student at Tallahassee Community College and was home visiting family on holiday break.
