WINTER HAVEN (FOX 13) -
A second person has been arrested in the murder of a Winter
Haven high school student.
Alicia Barnett, an 18-year-old student at New Beginnings
High, was found shot to death on the Chain of Lakes Trail last month.
Police say she was setup in a robbery attempt by Antonio
Callaway and Ethan Lucas, who was arrested Thursday.
Investigators believe Barnett thought she was meeting
Callaway to deliver hundreds of dollars in marijuana.
Both were students at the school. Callaway was arrested
weeks ago.
"The entire incident was setup just to rob her," said Chief
Gary Hester of Winter Haven police. "Something went drastically wrong during
the robbery in which we believe Ethan Lucas is the one who actually shot Ms.
Barnett several times."
Lucas is charged with first-degree murder. Records show he's
faced criminal charges at least 18 times, being in and out of the juvenile justice
system constantly since he was 12.
