EAGLE LAKE (FOX 13) -
A 6-year-old boy in
Polk County is fighting for his life this morning after he was struck while
riding his bike.

Watson of Eagle Lake was riding his bike near city hall at 75 North 7th
Street when the accident happened.
Investigators say the
boy did not look both ways and rode into the path of a 1997 Ford F-350, driven
by 34-year-old Fidel Trejo.
The truck was going at
a low rate of speed, investigators said, but the boy was pulled underneath the vehicle.
Watson has been
airlifted to Tampa General Hospital, where he is in extremely critical
condition.
