ROSWELL, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a 51-year-old north Georgia man pleaded guilty to selling stolen goods worth millions of dollars across state lines on eBay.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://bit.ly/T8iwUu ) reports Robert A. Hill, of Roswell, bought merchandise at a deep discount from accomplices who bought the items using fraudulent credit accounts at major department stores.
Officials say Hill used the stolen merchandise to stock his online store sold more than $9 million in goods on eBay over 10 years. Authorities say Hill knowingly did business with others who used fake drivers' licenses to open the fraudulent credit accounts.
Authorities searched a storage unit where Hill kept his inventory and found numerous big-ticket electronics and $44,000 in cash.
Hill faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
