A video showing an eagle allegedly tried to make off with a baby at a park in Montreal, Canada has been claimed by a visual arts school as a hoax.
The supposed incident which was caught on video and uploaded to YouTube shows the eagle swooping in, picking up the child and then dropping it.
The shaky video was reportedly shot in Mount Royal Park.
Skeptics questioned the authenticity of the video. and now... a Montreal university is claiming credit, saying the video was produced by an animation student.
IThe Centre NAD posted a message on its website saying:
The "Golden Eagle Snatches Kid" video, uploaded to YouTube on the evening of December 18, was made by Normand Archambault, Loïc Mireault and Félix Marquis-Poulin, students at Centre NAD, in the production simulation workshop class of the Bachelors degree in 3D Animation and Digital Design.
The video shows a royal eagle snatching a young kid while he plays under the watch of his dad. The eagle then drops the kid a few feet away. Both the eagle and the kid were created in 3D animation and integrated in to the film afterwards.
