A 43-year-old Tampa man was arrested Friday at a Bradenton mall where he thought he was meeting a 13-year-old female he met over the Internet.
Instead, Nicholas Harrison Hillman was greeted by investigators with the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. He was booked into the Manatee County Jail. He is being held on a bond of $51,500.
And it's not the first time the suspect has used a computer in an attempt to meet a juvenile. In May 2011 Hillman was arrested by Polk County Sheriff's deputies as part of ‘Operation Last House Call.'
That case is still making its way through the legal system.
According to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report and undercover detective posing as a 13-year-old girl began chatting with Hillman via computer. Investigators allege the suspect asked the teen to engage in sexual activity.
The conversation continued via cellphone where Hillman allegedly told the juvenile to meet him at DeSoto Square Mall, which happens to be across the street from MCSO Headquarters.
Hillman was charged with one count of traveling to entice a minor to commit a sexual act and one count of using a computer to entice a child to commit a sexual act.
According to Polk County Clerk of the Court documents Hillman asked a court to dismiss the 2011 charges in November. A hearing on that request is scheduled for February.
