Teen charged as adult in security officer shooting

A teenager charged with shooting and killing a security officer has been charged as an adult.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says 16-year-old Larry Donnell Brown was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail Friday afternoon.

Investigators say Brown killed CIS security officer Michael Valentin during a failed robbery attempt the night before Thanksgiving.

He is charged with first -degree murder.
