ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) -
Detectives say a
24-year-old woman stabbed her boyfriend to death Thursday during a domestic
dispute.
It happened at 6412 6th
Avenue North, and police say this was one of several domestic situations in the
past year.
Jillian Leah Smith is
accused of killing Michael Gene Espy during the argument. Specific details
about what led to the dispute were not released, but detectives say Smith
grabbed a knife and stabbed Espy in the chest.
Police also said she called 911 after it happened. He was taken to the
hospital where he died.
Detectives say the last
incident between the couple happened as soon as two weeks ago.
