Lassiter High School band members are headed to the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Calif. on New Year's Day. It's the fourth trip for the band.
Band director Alfred Watkins says the students, who are used to playing shorter performances, have been training to march and play for 150 minutes straight.
"We are playing approximately five or six different pieces -- just kind of memorizing them and playing them," said band member Evan Touart.
Touart says two hour practices over the last month will prepare them for their big New Year's Day performance.
"We went to the Macy's Day Parade and stuff and this is like 10 times as big," said Touart.
More than one million people are expected to attend the parade, with millions more watching on television.
