Gas prices headed in the right direction

TAMPA (FOX 13) -

If you've seen the signs around town, your eyes aren't going bad. Gas prices are going down.

Several gas stations in the Clearwater area are selling for close to $3 a gallon, and drivers say they see them getting lower and lower on a daily basis.

According to analysts at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, U.S. oil prices could sink to $50 a barrel at some point over the next two years.

They are typically around $90 a barrel. But don't get too excited, experts say. That doesn't mean gas prices will drop that drastically as well.

Global oil prices should still remain high, and that better dictates the prices we will see.

But experts feel prices should at he very least not rise, or maybe even drop by a few pennies.
