Hernando County deputies say a 17-year-old boy stabbed his mother's boyfriend to death Sunday evening.
According to deputies, it happened after a domestic dispute. Deputies say the teen stabbed David Floyd several times, and Floyd has died from those injuries.
Investigators say it started with a verbal argument Sunday around 3:30 p.m. at the family's home on Hayes Street in Spring Hill.
Deputies say the teen left after the argument, but returned a few hours later. That's when the argument turned physical, deputies say.
The boy grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed Floyd in the chest, deputies said. Floyd died at a nearby hospital.
The teen faces murder charges.
