ATLANTA -
It was a milestone on Saturday for one of Atlanta's well-known charity workers Mother Hughes.
Hughes marked her birthday in a very familiar way. She donated 99 boxes of clothing and supplies to families in shelters throughout the city. That is one box for each year she has been alive.
The first stop for her was at the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children.
This past summer, Mother Hughes marked her 20th annual Christmas in July Clothing Drive for local shelters.
