SOMERVILLE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities are trying to get more leads in the slaying of a New Jersey man whose skeletal remains were found in upstate New York in 1984.

Officials say Joseph Dziowgo, 25, of Bound Brook disappeared on May 10, 1973. Dziowgo was last known staying with a man known as "Bear" at a bungalow behind the former Alibi Bar in Branchburg, N.J.

The case remained cold until 2010 when detectives obtained DNA samples from his family. The results yielded a match to skeletal remains that were found in 1984 in Wawarsing, N.Y.

The Somerset County Crime Stoppers is offer a $5,000 reward for information regarding his disappearance.
