The Atlanta Civic Center is losing so much money that city officials are now studying how to make it a profitable venue again.
The glory days for the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in downtown Atlanta are long gone. A study by an outside consultant finds the venue is losing about $400,000 a year.
All News 106.7's Connie Cummings spokes with Atlanta Civic Center Director Ann Marie Moraitakis who says they are now studying several options.
The facility is already used for movie and television production. The filming which has taken place there includes "The Three Stooges" and the Denzel Washington movie "Flight."
The city is hoping for a public-private partnership and expects a decision on the facility's future sometime next year.
