It's that time of year again: Deputies in Polk County are looking for someone who swiped a Baby Jesus doll from a nativity scene.

According to investigators, it was sometime between Saturday and Monday when the baby Jesus disappeared from the City of Frostproof's display at the corner of B Street West and Scenic Hwy.

A 4-foot by 6-foot plywood donkey was also taken.

Deputies say they do not have photos of the items, but they say the Baby Jesus was a plastic doll and the donkey was painted "realistically."

The city would like the stolen items returned to the Frostproof City Hall.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-226-TIPS.
