More undercover recordings played in lotto winner murder trial

TAMPA (FOX 13) -

There were more lies, tears, and audiotapes Tuesday in the murder trial of lottery millionaire Abraham Shakespeare.

Dee Dee Moore is accused of killing Shakespeare and stealing his millions.

Tuesday brought more testimony from the police informant, and more tears from Moore.

She shielded her face from the jury as audio tapes told the tale of a cover up unfolding in the murder trial of the lotto winner.

Hours of secretly recorded conversations between police informant Greg Smith and Dee Dee Moore were played in court.

"They said I went on lavish vacations on his money, they were Abrahams f***in vacations," Moore said in the recordings

Investigators say Moore kept up the charade that Shakespeare was still alive, even months after he was reported missing.

Smith said he was even asked by Moore to help spread the rumor,

"Actually, she asked me to put it out in my barber shop, just say it in your barber shop that Abraham has been seen," Smith said.

The talk then switched to cover ups and fall guys.

Smith said Moore made up an imaginary bad guy named "Ronald."

"The defendant was asking me what if they find Shakespeare dead who do we blame? She came up with this guy ‘Ron,' " Smith testified.

As the two planned their alibi, Moore was heard on tape saying to Smith that Shakespeare was killed by drug dealers, and kept quiet because she was in fear for her life.

She broke down in court when the two talked about finding the body.

I'm going to need some help...I'm going to need some help to dig him up, I can't trust nobody else," Smith says on the recording.

The hours of secret calls were, at times, too much for Shakespeare's mother, who looked visibly upset as she sat in the courtroom.

Testimony resumes tomorrow when attorneys are expected to cross examine Greg Smith.
