A larger than life piece of art is back home in Sarasota.
The Unconditional Surrender statue was put back in place along the downtown waterfront Tuesday morning.
It's a replica of the iconic photo snapped in Times Square of the sailor kissing a nurse at the end of World War II.
The statue was badly damaged earlier this year when a car crashed into it. It was sent to New Jersey for repairs.
Superstorm Sandy delayed the work, but it's back home now.
